Our Sacred Journey
Celebrating God's faithfulness through generations at FGCK Voi

The Voi Church began on November 24th, 1985, founded by six brothers: Philip Kamau, Joseph Nyaga, James Miano, Daniel Mwangi, Stephen Gitonga, and James Kaminja, now known as The Voi Six. The initiative to plant a church in Voi was driven not by external invitation but by an inner calling from the Holy Spirit to bring men and women to Christ.
Our First Crusade

The first crusade, an open-air evangelism event, took place from March 28th to 30th, 1986, during the Easter holiday. Organized by the brothers from Nakuru, this event, named Explo-1986, was highly successful, leading many to Christ. Some of the earliest converts remain active members of the church today, while others have moved on.
Love in Action

Launched our first food pantry and clothing ministry to serve vulnerable families in Voi. This marked the beginning of our commitment to holistic ministry addressing both spiritual and physical needs.
Sanctuary of Worship

After years of prayer and saving, we dedicated our current 500-seat sanctuary. The building was constructed debt-free through faithful giving and remains a center for worship and community events.
Growing Together

Formalized our homecell ministry with groups meeting in six neighborhoods across Voi. This decentralized approach helped us better care for members and reach new communities with the Gospel.
Continuing the Mission

With over 800 members, multiple ministries, and a growing impact in our region, we continue to write our history as God leads us into new seasons of growth and service to the Voi community.
